She retired from National Fruit Company with over 40 years of service, and attended the First Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Susan K. Smith of Bunker Hill; a sister, Thelma Scrivener of Martinsburg; a brother, Charles Butts of Martinsburg; and a granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonza Dow Albright, Jr.; three sisters, Edna Davis, Pearl Zepp, and an infant sister; three brothers, Fred, Lee, and Bernard Butts; and an infant grandson. Interment was at Rosedale Cemetery by Brown Funeral Home.

Alley, Sr. and Ida Venable Alley. He was a retired operating engineer and a member of Local #132 in Huntington. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the VFW. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Caudill Alley; a son, Herbert L. Alley of Houston, TX; and a sister, Frances Martin of Danbury. Barcus, Sr. Prior to his U.S. Army service, he worked at Reliance Manufacturing Co. He joined the service in 1944. She enjoyed traveling, boating, knitting, and flower gardening. WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA: Charles Beiswenger, 56, died October 17, 1932. He was born in Germany on September 26, 1876 to Jacob and Elizabeth Butzgy Beiswenger. He was an assistant chief for the Wheeling Fire Department with 18 years of service, and was killed in the line of duty while fighting a blaze at a store in Wheeling. He was the husband of Katherine Faulstick Beiswenger. He is memorialized at the West Virginia Fallen Firefighter Memorial. He was a Roman Catholic priest. He completed postgraduate work in law, administration and history at Catholic University of America in Washington, DC, and was assigned to the Catholic Chancery in Wheeling. He served as the administrator of Immaculate Conception Parish in Fairmont, associate pastor of Immaculate Conception Parish in Clarksburg, special assistant to the Bishop in Wheeling. He was Vicar General of the Diocese, Judicial Vicar, Vicar for Pastoral Services and Personnel, Director of the Office of the Laity, Director of the West Virginia Catholic Conference. He was a member of the Canon Law Society of America, the Mid-West Canon Law Society, and the Eastern Regional Canon Law Society. He served on the Nursing Home Administrators� Licensing Board, and was a founding president of the West Virginia Kiwanis Foundation. Kiwanis International recognized him as a George Hixson Fellow, and he was a two-time recipient of the Tablet of Honor. In 1996, he was named Man of the Year by the West Virginia Italian Heritage Foundation, and was named a Distinguished West Virginian by the governor. He was presented with the Key of Honor from Key Club International, the highest award for service to youth, and was an administrator of the West Virginia Key Club District for 35 years. Survivors include a sister, Barbara Jane McCallister Arbogast (William); three nieces; three nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy J. He was an award-winning artist and a veteran of World War II and Korea. He had owned the Dairyette in Ellenboro for 15 years, and was a promoter of the Pennsboro Speedway. He was a member of Riddle's Chapel Congregational Church and the Parkersburg Art Center. Survivors include his wife, Ruby McCullough Wilson; and a sister, Mrs. Charles Reimers of Willoughby, OH. Interment was at King Knob Cemetery under the direction of Raiguel Funeral Home.

WOLFE, Thomas W.
PRINCETON, WEST VIRGINIA: Thomas William "Bill" Wolfe, 86, died June 10, 2008. He was born October 20, 1921 to the late Elmer G. and Ila Mary Hughes Wolfe. He was a retired accountant with Appalachian Power Company, where he worked for 30 years, and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a graduate of National Business College. He attended the First United Methodist Church, and was a member of the National Society of Public Accountants, the American Legion, and the Moose Lodge. He was Senior Vice Commander of VFW Post #9696, treasurer of the Princeton AARP, and volunteered at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Beckley. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Andrea Wolfe of Roanoke, VA; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Betty Wolfe of Salem, VA; and 3 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Evelyn Gilbert Wolfe; a sister, Betty Weirston; and his parents. Burial with military honors was at Monte Vista Park Cemetery with arrangements by Seaver Funeral Home.

CHESTER, WEST VIRGINIA: Susana Yaros, 96, died March 2, 1984 in East Liverpool, OH. She was born in Czechoslovakia on March 18, 1887 to Mr. and Mrs. George Lipps. She had lived in Chester for 25 years, and in the United States for over 60 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Survivors include a son, Mike Yaros of Gary, IN; two daughters, Marie (Frank) DeCapio of Chester, and Sue (George) Blakemore of Industry, PA; 18 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
