MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE: Hubert Conrad "Bob" Bechard, 86, died March 19, 2011 at the VA Hospital in Memphis. He was born October 20, 1924 in Plattsburgh, NY to Marguerite and William Bechard. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, and had completed over 50 bombing missions. He was a longtime resident of Gulfport, MS, and relocated to Memphis following Hurricane Katrina. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and life on the Gulf Coast. Survivors include his children, Sherry (Carter), John (Regina), and Clayton (Jeri); 10 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Dorothy P. Bechard. Interment was at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia, MS with arrangements by Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Woody; a son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Linda Woody of Crossville; a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Rinold Hall of Crossville; a sister and brother-in-law, Velma and Harold Christopher of Crossville; 5 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother; three brothers, Kermit Baldwin, Ridley Baldwin, and Vernon Baldwin; and a sister, Wilma Phipps. Interment with military honors was at Woody Cemetery under the direction of Bilbrey Funeral Home.

KINGSPORT, TENNESSEE: Letha B. Guy Zabel, 73, died December 23, 2008. She was born February 23, 1935. She formerly lived in Yuma, AZ, and retired as an assistant manager and operations officer with the Arizona Bank. She was a resident of Kingsport since 1992. She is survived by a daughter, Cindy Rogers (Steve) of Kingsport; two sons, Michael Howe, Sr. (Casey) of Fall Branch, and Eddie Zabel of Johnson City; three sisters, Leona Lewis of Kingsport, Imogene Guy of Kingsport, and Pauline Mullinax (Eugene) of Luray, VA; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband H.E. "Ed" Zabel; a sister; and three brothers. Interment was at Lone Star Cemetery by Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home.
